•About Kathryn Dean•

With captivating vocals that range from warm and sultry to gritty and unforgiving, Kathryn Dean tells the stories that are central to the human experience in a unique and clever way. Cognizant of the power of music, Kathryn pays great attention to the messages of her songs. She promotes not the pursuit of perfection, but rather the wisdom that comes with learning from mistakes and the power and strength that are earned every time defeat is transformed into victory.

Eager to share that message and perform her songs nationwide, Kathryn has completed 8 regional and 1 national tour(s) in 2016 and 2017 as direct support for headliners including Anna Nalick, Howie Day, Tiffany, John Waite, Lee DeWyze and Marie Digby. She also recently completed a 40-city U.S. tour with American Idol winner, David Cook.

Other notable performances, appearances, and interviews in the last two years have included Billboard Magazine Live, iHeartRadio, Cumulus Radio Group, AOL Live, Cosmopolitan Magazine, and a 14-page feature in Regard Magazine.

Kathryn’s music has also seen radio success. She has had 3 radio singles reach the Top 30 on the Billboard & Media Base Adult Contemporary Charts, including “City Of Angels”, which spent 7 weeks as the #1 indie record on the Billboard & Media Base AC Charts and peaked at #19 overall.

Given her penchant for storytelling, it is no surprise that Kathryn’s music has had multiple placements in major network television shows, including those on CBS, Fox, and NBC, most recently in promos for the CBS primetime show, S.W.A.T.

Outside of the United States, Kathryn’s music has been featured on a variety of major, primetime television dramas with character attachments on Malhacao and A Regra do Jogo. Her music has also been featured on a compilation album for Alto Astra along with Sam Smith, John Legend, and Ed Sheeran.
